Hamilton defeated Brookfield East 47-7 on Friday night to capture a share of the Greater Metro Conference football championship with Marquette and Brookfield Central.
The Chargers (8-1, 6-1 GMC) and Spartans (6-3, 4-3 GMC) both are qualified for the WIAA playoffs, likely in Division 2. The teams should learn Monday who their opponent will be.
