Templeton Student Competing in State Wrestling Tournament

Templeton Middle School’s eighth grader made it through last week’s regionals and will be wrestling in the Wisconsin State Folkstlye Tournament. 

Owen Gorges wrestled in an 11 man bracket at regionals and held all of his opponents to 0 points until his final match. Gorges lost that match 6-4 and finished in second place, qualifying him for state.

Gorges will be competing at the 120 pound weight class on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and March 23 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.  The event can be followed online at trackwrestling.com.
