Templeton Bulldogs Football Teams Go 3-1 Last Week

Week highlighted by the eighth-grade Blue team beating Watertown Blue, 28-0.

The Templeton Bulldogs football squad went 3-1 in action last week. Below are the results of the hard-fought games. 

7 Blue

The 7th grade Blue football team beat Waukesha North stars 14-12 Saturday. The Bulldogs came from behind and would not be defeated. Scoring for the Bulldogs was Adam Hartung on a 60 yard touchdown run and Tyler Wroblewski on a 2 yard touchdown run. Vaughn Stumpf kick the extra point. Defensively the Bulldogs dominated the 4th quarter. Ryan Smith and Jacob Fralick pressured the quarterback and came up with two key sacks. Nick Gierach and Alex Kroening each had interceptions. The Bulldogs will travel to Waukesha South next Saturday.

8 Blue

On Saturday the TMS Blue Bulldogs took on Watertown Blue. The Bulldogs took control from the very start and never looked back. The score was Bulldogs 28- Goslings 0. Quarterback Ryan Hubell connected twice qwith tight end Brad Purko for a pair of touchdowns. Dylan Gissal threw a five yard pass to Geno Giovannito cap the scoring for the offense. Fullbacks Ezra Heinritz, Ben Nolde, and Giovanni all collected 30 yards a piece on the ground. The Bulldog D was not to be denied on this day. Nosetackle Nick Dary collected a safety. Hubell led the defense with 6 tackles while Gage Minor had an interception and returned it for a touchdown.

7 White

The 7th Grade White Bulldogs defeated the Waukesha South Blackshirts in hard fought come from behind win 21-18.  The Bulldogs fell behind early down 12-0.  The rally began with a Ty Olejnik QB sneak for touchdown.  Will Geels completed a pass to Justin Tremmel for the extra point.  After the Blackshirts scored another touchdown, the Bulldogs made it a one score game before the half when Olejnik found a wide open Jake Lex in the endzone.  The Bulldogs took it to the Blackshirts on the next drive when Tremmel ran through a giant hole all the way to the pay dirt.  Key blocks came from Tyler Southern, Logan Tennyson, and Evan Hertzberg. From there, the Defense held Waukesha South on two key drives.  Leading the defense this week was Phillip Birkenheier, Ryan Filo, Cameron Davis, Sunny Ciardo and Brady Ban.

8 White

The Bulldogs lost to Marquette 18-0 and brings their record to 2-3-1. Offensively, the Dogs were led by JD Augustine, Ethan Rentmeester and Cooper Vance.  Defensively, the Dogs were led by Cole Roepke with 6 solo tackles, Owen Gorges with 4 tackles and Jordan Smith with 3.5 tackles.  On Special Teams, JD Augustine had a 37 yard kickoff return.  The Bulldogs final regular season game will be on the road at Watertown at 9:00AM.
