Key to Awesomeness:  The students in Tom Schlueter’s art classes were all asked to submit logo ideas and write a paper about what it meant to have the opportunity to serve the community on an event that helps those fighting cancer.

These are some excerpts from Hall’s and Destashe’s essays:

The American Cancer Society does so much…and I really appreciate and support everything that it stands for,” said Hall, “I really had to show my appreciation by creating the best logo I could for this event.”

“It immediately reminded me of when I attended a relay for life with my family. It was such a life-changing event…it touched my heart that the millions of people that attend relay for life will be seeing this logo,” said Destashe.

The 2011 Relay For Life of Sussex-Menomonee Falls and Pewaukee Communities will be held June 17-18 at Sussex Hamilton High School.
