PHOTOS: Kindergartners Get Crafty at Harvest Fest

Between decorating Halloween cookies and paper vests, the kindergartenrs at Willow Springs had a day filled with fall spirit.

The little students in the 4-year-old kindergarten program at had an exciting holiday treat today during Harvest Fest.

Parents and staff worked together to create this hands-on event that ties into the school's lesson plan about the changing seasons. The Willow Springs Learning Center and the Willow Springs 4K Parent Group sponsored the event, in addition to local businesses making donations to the event.

The kindergartenrs moved between classrooms in the school to experience all the event had to offer:

  • Hayriding on wagons in and around the school
  • Decorating Autumn vests with feathers, paint and more
  • Navigating an Autumn maze
  • Learning about fall animals from a Cabela's representative
  • Decorating and eating pumpkin cookies

The photos in the gallery are from the morning kindergarten class. All activities will be repeated again for the afternoon children.
