Hamilton District Students Earn Music Honors

Kate Meagher, Chloe Simchick become first Templeton students to receive honors.

Two Hamilton School District students earned honors at the state honors festival in Middleton. 

Kate Meagher, who plays the clarinet was selected for band and Chloe Simchick, a french horn player, was selected for orchestra. 

Kate is now a freshman at Hamilton High School and Chloe is in eighth grade at Templeton Middle School.

The pair were among 318 students who made choir, orchestra and band. About 1,200 students auditioned last April. No other student from Templeton had ever been selected before.
