ABOUT HAMILTON

It’s not fair to the other kids to just talk about two guys, but any discussion of the Chargers football team has to begin with running back brothers Nick Patterson (114-1,215 18 TDs) and Drew Patterson (170-1,171 13 TDs). Quarterback Matt Judson benefits from that great ground attack by throwing with wonderful efficiency. He’s completed 55 of 87 passes (63.2 percent) with 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

Dan Demler leads the secondary with five interceptions.

The Chargers also are dangerous on special teams. They’ve returned three kickoffs and a blocked punt for scores this year, and Kenny Lo has made all four of his field goal attempts.

ABOUT RIVERSIDE

They’re fast, but it’s not just about speed. The Tigers eviscerated the City Conference, averaging 60 points in their six victories. More impressive is what they’ve done against traditionally strong suburban programs. Riverside opened with a 27-14 loss against still-unbeaten Kenosha Bradford, then knocked off Catholic Memorial 21-18. But the game that truly got everyone’s attention was the 29-22 win over powerhouse Homestead last week.

Jalen Gillie leads a balanced running attack (60-749, 16 TDs) and quarterback Shomari Triggs can throw it (17 TDs, 2 INTs) and run it (351 yards, 9 TDs), according to stats compiled at WisSports.net
