Voter Trends: Romney Big Winner in Sussex, Too

The official voter numbers are in and Mitt Romney, Tim Kay and Brian Schneider reign supreme in Sussex.

The results are in, and it looks like Sussex is filled with Mitt Romney supporters.

In total, 1,837 village residents voted in , and Romney won in a landslide β€” taking more than 61 percent of of the vote.

In fact, Romney did significantly better in the village that he did statewide. The Associated Press reports that he won Wisconsin with 42.5 percent of the vote, while Rick Santorum took about 37 percent

In addtion, Sussex residents voted for more than his competitior in the race for Lake Country municipal judge. And in Sussex received twice as many votes as in the Hamilton School Board election.

When compared to the 2008 Republican presidential primary, this year's numbers are huge. Only 559 people came out to vote for John McCain in 2008, with Mike Huckabee coming in second with 312 votes.
