Village Board Approves Parks and Recreation Board Recommendations

Cross country meet, concession stand agreement and parking lot construction among the items trustees support.

The Village Board on Tuesday approved a number of recommended items from the Parks and Recreation Board. 

Trustees approved Mount Calvary Lutheran School's request to use the for a cross country meet. The meet will be held from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19. The fees for park use is $275 along with a $100 deposit. 

They also approve an agreement involving the selling concessions at the Sussex Recreation Department. The youth basketball league will be allowed to serve concessions on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Oct. 20 to Dec. 15. The fee is $25 per date along with a $100 deposit.

Lastly, the board approved a request by the Sussex Lions Club for a parking lot to be built at the Sussex Village Park.
