Sussex OKs Spending $15,000 for Fire Department Equipment
Turnout gear will be purchased as part of annual replacement of worn equipment.

Village Administrator Jeremy Smith said the purchase of equipment is part of the regular replacement of fire equipment, which takes place on an annual basis.

Although $10,000 was allotted to the purchase of the equipment in the 2011 budget, Smith said the board needed to give approval to the purchase because it exceeded the budgeted amount.
