Supreme Court Race is Only One on Tuesday's Primary Election Ballot

Village residents to vote at Sussex Armory from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday is primary election day, and polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., with all voting in Sussex taking place at the , W239n6578 Main St.

Though other communities have a number of races on the ballot, only the statewide primary race for Wisconsin Supreme Court will appear on Sussex ballots, according to Village Clerk-Treasuer Sue Freiheit.

Incumbent Justice David Prosser is being challenged by Madison attorney Joel Winnig, state Justice Department lawyer JoAnne Kloppenburg and public defender Marla Stephens.

The two candidates with the highest vote totals will face each other in the general election on April 5.

The winner of that election will secure a 10-year term on the state's highest court.
