REGULAR PROGRAMMING:

Heart Saver CPR/AED

A course that teaches the basic techniques of adult, child and infant CPR/AED and basics in first aid as set by the American Heart Association will be held on Saturday, March 5 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Sussex Community Center.  Fee: $48 resident and $58 non-resident.  Register by Feb. 25.

Gimme Five

Seeing is believing when children ages 3.5 to 6 years old examine the wonders of our five senses on Mondays, Feb. 28 through March 21 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sussex Community Center.  Class includes:  Taste and Smell, Eye to Eye, Keep in Touch and Listen Closely.  Fee:  $53 residents and $64 non-residents.  Register by Feb. 21.

 Senior Shuttle

Why not let someone else do the driving?  Ride the Sussex/Lisbon Senior Shuttle to travel to stores like Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, Salvation Army, Piggly Wiggly and many more and then end your trip with a stop for lunch at the Community Center.  Cost:  $3 per roundtrip.  Tickets can be purchased the Community Center and Village Hall.  For more details and a schedule, pick up a brochure at the Community Center, Village Hall, Pauline Haass Library or our website at www.village.sussex.wi.us.

Friday, Feb. 11:  12 p.m. Lucky Plate lunch

Monday, Feb. 14:  9 a.m., Senior Fitness; 11:30 p.m., Valentine’s Luncheon; 8:30 p.m., PiYo.

Tuesday, Feb. 15:  9 a.m., Basket Studio; 1 p.m., Polish Poker.

Wednesday, Feb. 16:  9 a.m., Senior Fitness; 9:30 a.m., Art Studio; 1 p.m., Dartball; 6:30 p.m., Yoga; 6:30 p.m., Zumba.

 

Lunch Program

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.  Lunches are served Monday through Friday through the Waukesha County meal program on a donation basis.  Make lunch reservations by calling (262) 246-6747 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Those wishing to be served a diabetic dessert must indicate that at the time of reservation. 

Wednesday, Feb. 9:  Pork stir fry, steamed rice, oriental vegetables, mandarin oranges and pineapple, almond cookie/plain cookie.

Thursday, Feb. 10:  Roast Chicken, twice baked style potatoes, broccoli salad, tropical fruit.

Friday, Feb. 11:   Hamburger on a bun, potato salad, baked beans, ice cream/fruit.

Monday, Feb. 14:  Sliced roast beef, hash brown casserole, green bean almandine, red velvet cake/angel food cake.

Tuesday, Feb. 15: Chicken noodle soup, sloppy Joe, corn, fresh fruit, ice cream/diet fruited gelatin.

Wednesday, Feb. 16:  Healthy baked fish, rosemary diced potatoes, coleslaw, peaches, cookie/plain cookie

AARP Tax Preparation

Interested participants are encouraged to contact the Menomonee Falls Community Center for appointments at (262) 255-8460.

French Bread Basket class

Suitable for all weaving levels, including beginners.  Class will be on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 9 to 4 p.m. at the Sussex Community Center.  Fee: $35 resident and $42 for non-resident.  Please register by Feb. 18.
