'Hello' From 98th District Assembly Candidates [Video]

Take a look at these quick introductions from each of the five candidates vying for a seat in the 98th assembly district.

Five candidates running in a special election in the 98th Assembly District met head-to-head Monday night for at a candidates forum sponsored by Patch at Carroll University.

This video offers a brief introduction from each of the candidates, including Ed Baumann, Todd Greenwald, Matt Morzy, Adam Neylon and Jeanne Tarantino (Click on link for biographical information on each candidate). The five are running to replace Paul Farrow, who was elected to the 33rd Senate District in December.

Check out the replay of our LIVE blog here.

The winner will advance to the general election on April 2, however, since there is no Democratic candidate, that person is all but certain to win the seat. The district includes Pewaukee, Sussex and portions of Waukesha.

Dear Waukesha County Residents, I am asking you for your vote on Tuesday, February 19th because I have the skills, experience and strong work ethic needed to help restore common sense conservatism and fairness to a business climate that has been stifled by too much government regulation, red tape and taxation. Creating a positive business climate to promote job creation isn't a Democrat or Republican issues, it's a Wisconsin issue -- at a time when too many people in our state are suffering the effects of unemployment and underemployment we need to elect leaders who can work together to problem solve and build consensus around ideas and solutions that will move our economy forward. You can place your trust in me. There's a reason our Sheriff Dan Trawicki and our District Attorney Brad Schimel have endorsed my candidacy. They know I am the best candidate in this race, the person who will go to Madison and effectively represent the interests of our families, businesses and communities in Waukesha county! I believe that your hard earned money belongs to you and you should keep more of it. I will support Governor Walker's $343 million middle income tax cut and I will work to cut spending in Madison. Please vote for me on February 19th! Respectfully, Jeanne Tarantino Candidate, 98th Assembly District

Ms. Tarantino, for the last few days you've stopped mentioning Lt. Gov. Kleefisch's endorsement. I noticed this at the forum last night, and then again while reading your post. Does the Lt. Gov. still endorse you? I'm a voter in the 98th and would like to have this information.

Ms. Tarantino, In a sworn deposition two months ago, you told the court that the reason that you did not file a discrimination claim against the Lt. Governor of the State of Wisconsin is that you never intend to work in this state again. Therefore, I must ask that if you were to be elected, would you (1) immediately resign from the position so that you do not have to work in Wisconsin, or would you (2) file a discrimination complaint against the Lt. Governor of our state, Rebecca Kleefisch? See link below: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/188389991.html

Ms. Tarantino, You announced your candidacy on December 4, 2012. In your deposition on the 28th of that very same month you said that you do not intend to work in Wisconsin again. Since you were under oath at the time, can we safely say that you have already forfeited this race? http://www.thewheelerreport.com/wheeler_docs/files/1205tarantino.pdf
