Elementary School Projects Described As On Time And Under Budget

Building projects at Woodside and Marcy elementary schools will be complete by Jan. 1, according to school officials.

The community was informed Monday that construction projects at Woodside and Marcy elementary schools will be completed on time and under budget, according to school officials. 

The multi-purpose facility will be complete along with the building of five classrooms at Woodside and six classrooms and expansion to create a multi-purpose area at Marcy will be complete by Jan. 1, school officials informed the school board during its meeting.

The project also includes removing four-classroom relocatable unit  and reclaiming playground space at Woodside along with the building of additional restrooms.

The projects, which were intended to ease crowding, cost $2 million each. The projects were to be paid for through the maintenance budget and the district's fund balance.
