Another Week, Another Wall at Village Hall

Village trustees were able to see how far reconstruction of lower-level space has come in just a week at the Village Board meeting.

The work list this week for the Village Hall lower-level renovation project includes drywall being hung, ceiling grids being reconstructed, new plumbing lines being run, electrical wires and other utilities being strung and locations of doorways being established.

The space formerly used for Sussex police operations is being remodeled into a new office with public access for the Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce, and into a new meeting room that will double as a lunch room for village hall employees.

The $30,000 project is slated to be finished by mid-March, according to Village Administrator Jeremy Smith.
