Welding Triggers Smoke Detector at Hamilton High School

The Lisbon Fire Department responded to the call Tuesday morning.

A smoke detector was triggered by welding in the metals lab at Hamilton High School Tuesday morning, according to the school's Facebook page.

The smoke detector, which went off at 11:19 a.m., prompted students and staff to exit the building.

The Lisbon Fire Department responded and determined there was no fireΒ and it was safe to resume classes.
