Sussex Pharmacy Burglary May Be Connected to Others in Area

Sheriff's department says burglars are smashing doors down to get into the pharmacies in order to steal narcotic drugs.

Police are investigating a recent string of pharmacy break-ins in the area.

Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department detective Steve Pederson said at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, the near Highway 164 and Main Street was burglarized for narcotic medications. He said the burglars smashed the door of the pharmacy.

Pederson said there was a similar break-in less than an hour earlier in Hartland, and investigators are looking into a possible connection with other pharmacy burglaries in Oconomowoc and Slinger.
