Sussex Man Reaches For Cookie While Driving, Now Faces Felony
Man rolls his car while driving through Mequon while reaching for a cookie, then tries to hide marijuana he had under a nearby pine tree.
A 28-year-old Sussex man is facing felony drug charges after he rolled his car onto its roof in Mequon Saturday after he tried grabbing some cookies off the passenger seat.
Daniel J. Trebiatowski was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court Monday with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and one count of bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

Trebiatowski was driving in the 8600 block of West Freistadt Road in Mequon Saturday when he decided to reach for some cookies on his passenger seat, left the road and hit a culvert, causing his car to roll on its roof on a lawn.
While police were investigating the crash scene, they discovered two baggies of marijuana weighing 16.5 grams underneath a pine tree about 10 yards from the accident along with footprints in the grass coming from the car to the area where the drugs were.

Trebiatowski is currently being held in Ozaukee County Jail on $400 cash bond.
