A Brookfield police officer on patrol noticed Robillard traveling ahead of him on Capitol Drive near North 162nd Street at varying speeds and veering between lanes.
After being pulled over, Robillard told the officer he hadn't been drinking, but had been at a friend’s house where he consumed one beer and took a nap.

Robillard failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.08, which is the legal limit. However, because of his past OWI convictions, Robillard is not allowed to have more than a 0.02 blood alcohol level. Officers also found a pipe used for smoking marijuana while arresting Robillard.
Robillard was previously convicted of OWI in 1995 and twice in 1996. He is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $1,000 cash bond.
