Sussex Man Caught With Heroin in Milwaukee
Suspect is caught after he illegally changes lanes while driving on the north side.
A 21-year-old Sussex man is facing drug charges after he was caught with heroin in his car during a Milwaukee traffic stop.
Kevin P. O’Brien was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs. If convicted, he faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

On Thursday, O’Brien was pulled over by a Milwaukee police officer in the 2800 block of West Hampton Avenue for making an unsafe lane change. While the officer was talking with him, he spotted a metal device used to cook heroin inside O’Brien’s car.
O’Brien was ordered out of the car and the officer searched it and found an eyewear case with five needles and a baggie of heroin inside.

O’Brien is in custody on a $500 signature bond and has been ordered over to the JUSTICE 2000 program while awaiting trial.
