A 22-year-old Sussex man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly punched his 13-year-old sister during a fracas inside a Pewaukee apartment.
Parry W. Rodriguez Koutsios was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of physical abuse of a child, one count of escape and one count of resisting an officer. If convicted, he faces up to nearly 13 years in prison and $30,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
At 10:49 p.m. Monday, Pewaukee police officers were called to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Morris Street after there was a noise complaint about one of the tenants. When officers arrived, they found a man sweating with an abrasion on his head outside the building, who said he had been at a party inside the apartment where he got into a fight with Rodriguez Koutsios and other men. While talking with the officers, they saw the 13-year-old girl crying and trying to enter the apartment, but officers told her to wait outside.
The girl said the man is her brother and she was also at the party when the fight broke out. She walked towards the brawl when Rodriguez Koutsios punched her three times in the face saying she deserved it for coming to the party.
Rodriguez Koutsios was placed in the back seat of a squad car, but an officer failed to properly close the door, so Rodriguez Koutsios got out and ran. Officers chased him and found Rodriguez Koutsios hiding under a large bush.
Rodriguez Koutsios then lunged at the officer and fought him until he was eventually subdued and taken into custody. He’s currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $1,500 bond while awaiting trial.
