Sheriff Deputy Crashes Squad Car Near Pick'n Save

The single-vehicle crash is currently under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

A Waukesha County sheriff's deputy was involved in an accident Wednesday while responding to an emergency call.

The accident occurred just after 6 p.m. Wednesday along Main Street just east of Highway 164. The deputy was responding to a medical call when the crash occurred, said Waukesha County Sheriff Captain Torin Misko. He was responding to a choking child call at Culver's and tried to go around a car that would not stop. The pavement was wet and apparently he slid into the light pole.

The deputy was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Misko said the accident is being investigated by the Wisconsin State Patrol, and couldn't release any more details.
