Police Reports: Theft and OWI

This is a list of the most interesting police reports from last week.

Theft/Parole Viloation

Friday, Jan. 13 at 2:03 p.m.
Police were called to Dynamic Stampings, Inc. on Friday after being notified of a theft. An employee walked outside and found two men digging through their scrap metal and tossing it in their car. When the employee told them to put it back, they jumped in their car and took off.

Police traced the plates on the car to a 42-year-old Sussex man living in Stonegate Apartments. Police called him, but the man said it was a bad time, told police his phone battery was going dead and hung up. When police arrived at his apartment, a 12-year-old neighbor said the man just left.

Police later caught up with the man and his 35-year-old accomplice. They issued the man a ticket for theft, but found out the accomplice was on probation/parole. They took him to the courthouse and issued him a citation.

OWI

Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2:59 a.m.
Police were called to the N67W24000 block of Stonegate Court after two girls were ringing multiple doorbells in an attempt to get into an apartment complex. The caller said they recently drove off but were very drunk. Police found the vehicle and pulled it over to find two intoxicated girls inside.

The driver, 23-year-old Nadine Denicola of Menomonee Falls, said she was ringing to doorbells to find her ex-boyfriend after drinking at . Police got both girls out of the car and transported to them to the Sussex police station for a field sobriety test because of the awful, snowy weather.

At the station, police found her to have a blood alcohol content of .213 after failing the field sobriety test. She was then arrested for an OWI and her vehicle was towed.
