Police were called early in the morning last Tuesday after a neighbor found is mailbox smashed. According to the report, two mailboxes in the Centennial Oaks subdivision were bashed in early that Tuesday morning. This most likely is the work of the same immature prankster who in the subdivision in early July.

Child Abuse and Neglect

While the exact address and block will remain confidential until the investigation is complete, Sussex police were called to a home on Pewaukee Road Tuesday after receiving a tip about child abuse in the home. Detective Steve Pederson of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department says detectives are investigating the case after receiving a complaint.

According to Pederson, the potential child abuse and neglect investigation is very active and serious at the moment, so no additional information will be released. More information will be released once someone is officially charged in .

Oops! Called the Cops on Myself

A 23-year-old Sussex woman called police on Tuesday when she started experiencing some pain and needed medical attention. Emergency medial staff arrived, but police described what followed to be simply, “Not her day.” Apparently the woman had five warrants out for her arrest for credit card fraud. She was arrested and is currently in custody.

Lock Your Bikes, Kids

Friday, August 3 at 6:27 p.m.
A 31-year-old mother living on the W246N6500 block of Pewaukee Road called police Friday after both of her kids’ bikes were stolen. According to the report, the kids left their bikes behind the house and didn’t lock them up. The mother said the bikes were last seen at 10:30 p.m. the night before.
