Police Investigating 12 Pound Pot Delivery
Sheriff's department is looking into a discovery of 12 pounds of marijuana that was mailed to a Sussex home.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident where someone apparently mailed 12 pounds of marijuana to a Sussex residence.
According to a search warrant filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court last week, on Nov. 16, the postal inspector at the Sussex Post Office branch contacted the sheriff’s department after the location got a suspicious 12 pound package set to be delivered to a home in the N6500 block of Bowling Green Street. The package had been sent from Live Oak, Calif., and was the second of its type to be sent to the same address in a week.
The suspicious package was then taken to the residence to be delivered, however, after 20 minutes no one got it, so the Waukesha County Metro Drug Unit took possession of it again.
