A 50-year-old Sussex man’s displeasure that there wasn’t enough pigskin in his green beans ended in his arrest last month, according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday.

The man, who Sussex Patch is not naming to protect the identity of his wife, is charged with battery-domestic abuse and disorderly conduct-domestic abuse. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail and $11,000 in fines.

Sussex deputies were called to the man’s apartment in the W24100 block of Main Street after his wife left the building, crossed the street and contacted them about an incident on Jan. 13.
