Man Robs Merton Convenience Store With Shotgun

Dottie's Convenience Store, W335-N6805 Stone Bank Road, in the Town of Merton, was robbed after a suspect displayed a shot gun around 6:17 a.m. Monday.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Chenequa Police Department and Town of Oconomowoc Police Department responded to the armed robbery report. 

The suspect left with cash from the drawer as well as several packs of cigarettes he put in a black duffle bag.  The suspect fled the area on foot and at this time there is no vehicle information.

The clerk was the only occupant in the store at the time of the robbery. She was not injured in the incident. 

The suspect was described as a male approximately 6 foot tall with a thin build wearing a gray knit mask, ski goggles and possibly a dark colored jacket or sweatshirt.

There are no schools on lock down at this time.  A search of the area was completed and there is no reason to believe that the suspect is still in the area.

If anyone has any information or observed anything suspicious in the area at the time please contact the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department at 262 548-7122.

The incident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.
