On Aug. 18, the victim had finished her shift at Heaven City Restaurant and went out with her boyfriend and left her car in the parking lot. When she returned, she found her tires were flat, someone had keyed the vehicle and a rock had been placed on the car from a nearby fire pit.

The woman then saw Zagrodnik speed out of the parking lot in his car while she waited for Waukesha County sheriff’s deputies to arrive.

A deputy went to the nearby It Ain’t Heaven bar and talked to the bartender who said Zagrodnik had been in the bar and ordered a 16 ounce “seven and seven,” then drank half of it and walked outside. She went to throw out the drink because she thought Zagrodnik left, but noticed his keys were still there.

He then walked back in the bar and finished the drink before leaving again.

He will make his initial appearance in court Oct. 8.
