Man Caught in Sussex With Marijuana
Suspect pulled over for burned out headlight now facing drug charges after K-9 unit smells drugs.
A Hartland man is facing charges after he was caught driving through Sussex with marijuana in his car.
Carl W. Moderson, 21, was charged in Monday with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he faces up to seven months in prison and $1,500 in fines.

On Jan. 30, Moderson was pulled over by a Waukesha County sheriff’s deputy near Main Street and Sussex Road for driving with a burned out headlight, when a K-9 unit with the deputy began to signify it smelled drugs in the car. The deputy found a marijuana pipe and a baggie with 2.2 grams of marijuana inside.

He will make his initial appearance in court May 7.
