A 31-year-old Racine man is facing felony drunk driving charges after he was caught allegedly driving with his pants down in a car with a female passenger and nearly getting into an accident.
Adrian D. Oliver was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Monday with one count of fourth operating while intoxicated within five years, one count of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration and one count of operating a motor vehicle after revocation of his license. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison and $12,500 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
At 3:46 p.m. May 8, a Mount Pleasant police officer was near 25th Street and Mead Street when he heard multiple vehicle skid their tires nearby. When the officer looked up he spotted Oliver in a gold SUV, apparently having driven westbound on Racine Street and in front of two vehicles on 24th Street.
The officer pulled the vehicle over near Highway 32 and Oliver reportedly told the officer “sorry.” Oliver also allegedly said he was on his way home to his kids, but his pants were pulled down and he had a female passenger in the car.
The officer smelled alcohol coming from Oliver and had him perform field sobriety tests, which he then failed. He also had a blood alcohol level of 0.204. He was previously convicted of OWI twice in 2008 and once in 2011. He’s currently being held in Racine County Jail on $1,000 bail.
