Handyman Stole Jewelry, Watches, Tools From Town of Lisbon Home, Complaint Says
Menomonee Falls man was charged with two counts of theft in Waukesha County Circuit Court after his employer reported missing items from her home.
A 56-year-old Menomonee Falls man is accused of stealing jewelry, watches and high-priced tools while he lived and worked at a Town of Lisbon home.
Donald S. Feilen was charged Tuesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with two counts of theft. If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison and $20,000 in fines.
A woman at a home in the W8700 block of Highway 164 reported to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department that she believed Feilen had stolen the items while he lived at her home rent free. The woman also paid the man to complete odd jobs and drive her son to and from school, according to the complaint.

The woman was missing several Rolex watches and piece of jewelry, power drills, a floor jack and three video game systems, the complaint states.
Feilen denied stealing items from the home while telling a deputy he took a World War II helmet to a local resale shop. However, deputies checked with area jewelry and pawn shop stores and learned the missing items had been sold by Feilen to stores throughout Waukesha County, the complaint states.

Feilen told police his employer was having financial troubles and asked him to sell the jewelry so her name was not on the sales receipts, according to the complaint. Feilen admitted to selling one Rolex watch he found in the garbage.
The woman denied giving Feilen permission to sell the jewelry. One of the Rolex watches was worth $5,000 and the missing jewelry totaled $6,000, according to the complaint.
