On Oct. 5, police were dispatched to the 21000 block of Outcropping Court in Lannon to assist Jeffrey Kopp, who had just been punched in the face. Kopp had blood all over his shirt, and was bleeding from his nose.

Kopp told police that he was spending time with Shane Riley and his girlfriend at a bowling alley earlier that night. Kopp went over to the girlfriend’s home later that evening and waited for her to arrive. However, the only person that walked into the home was Riley.

Riley entered the room and demanded to know what Kopp was doing in the home. Riley then started punching Kopp repeatedly in the face. Kopp then told Riley that he was carrying a concealed weapon, and pointed his weapon in the air. Riley then fled, as he feared for his safety.

Though Riley said the two men wrestled and exchanged punches, there was no indication that Kopp punched Riley.
