2nd Car May Have Struck Sussex Woman

Investigators are looking for information on a car which they believe struck the body of Denise Merkel while it was laying on I-43 back on March 2.

Investigators now believe a second vehicle may have struck a Sussex woman in a fatal accident in New Berlin on March 2.

in New Berlin when she was struck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a press release from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, further investigation suggests Merkel’s body was struck by another car while it was laying in the roadway, sometime between 5:25 a.m. and 5:35 a.m.
