Joyce A. Ehlers (formerly Einwald) (nee Weitermann) went to the Lord on Aug. 16, 2013 at the age of 89. Loving mother of Margaret (George) Urban. Proud grandmother of Bryan and Michael Urban. Sister-in-law of Faye Weitermann. Special cousin of Dolores Moschea and Joan Mueller. Preceded in death by her first husband Rudy Einwald, her second husband Edward Ehlers, and her brother Bruce Weitermann. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday Aug. 24, 2013 at the Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, W250N6505 Hwy. 164 in Sussex. Visitation will be held again on from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church, W172N11187 Division Rd. in Germantown. A service will follow. Burial at Graceland Cemetery.
In her early years, Joyce was a member of the Walther League, where she met her first husband Rudy. She was also a member of the Lutheran A Cappella Choir and she was Bill Plankinton’s personal secretary. Joyce was an avid gardener that loved to watch the birds, and was especially fond of music.
