Obituary: Frederick Dieball

April 26, 1935 - September 10, 2013

Frederick H. "Fritz" Dieball was born, lived, worked and found peace at the beloved family farm after a courageous battle with cancer on September 10, 2013 at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend of Bernice for 52 years. Cherished “Pops” of Russell, Fred Jr. (Wanda), Donna (Ken) Runte, Connie (Erik) Johnson and Dan (Jessie). Hero and biggest fan to his grandkids Chelsea (special friend Max), Frederick III, Mike, Casey, Jessica, Matthew, Katelyn, Tyler, Cody (special friend Sarah), Bryce and Gavin. Brother of Doris (Horace) Becherer, Alvin (Marjorie), Marilyn and Arlene (Dick) Winkelman. Preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Friedericka and his brothers Curly and Erv. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the funeral home from and again from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 495 St. Augustine Rd. in Colgate. A service will follow at 2 p.m. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Horizon Hospice for the compassionate care and kindness. Memorials to St. Paul’s UCC, Horizon Hospice or the Cancer Care Center at Community Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
