Sussex-Lisbon Merger Meeting

Another public forum has been scheduled for Sussex and Lisbon residents looking for more information on the potential merger for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Held at the , this meeting will clear up any new or lingering questions residents may have, especially after the board said they may not . 

Farmers Market on the Hill

Community members can enjoy seasonal, fresh produce and hand-crafted items weekly at Market on the Hill –  – on the Waukesha County Technical College main Pewaukee campus. The market, coordinated by Positively Pewaukee and WCTC, is held Wednesdays through Oct. 24 – rain or shine – from 3 to 6:30 p.m. It is conveniently located at WCTC in Lot 19, next to the Workforce Development Center.

National Night Out/Ice Cream Social

On Wednesday starting at 6 p.m. in the parking lot, it's Sussex's night out against crime during . There will be free items for kids, bicycle helmet fitting (bring your helmet), diabetic screenings and fire and police demonstrations.

This event is being held in conjunction with the 's , a fundraiser for the library. There will be brownies and ice cream on the library lawn for just 25 cents, and used books for sale. In addition, the library will have crafts & games available. 

Village Park Reconstruction Meeting

The Village of Sussex is calling on residents during National Night Out to provide feedback on the latest update of the , a multi-million dollar project that could completely transform . The meeting will be during the event, so it also starts on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Village Hall's parking lot. 

This is the first of two 'open houses' that are scheduled so residents can view the plans, ask questions and make comments on the project, a topic of heated discussion after  were released to the public.
