Sussex Week Ahead: Lions Daze & Village Meetings
From the famous Lions Daze event to a group of village planning meetings, this is a list of places to be and things to do this week in Sussex.
Public Works Committee Meeting
The Public Works Committee is meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the lower level of to go over various items on their agenda. During the last meeting, the commmittee discussed safety solutions for the Ivy Avenue and Pewaukee Road intersection, as well as various stormwater projects. This meeting's agenda outlines details at the Glen at Seven Stones, among other projects.
Finance & Personnel Committe Meeting
Sussex's Finance & Personnel Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Village Hall's lower leve. This meeting will be directly after the Public Works meeting, and similarly, the agenda is posted on the village's website. During the last meeting, committee members discussed which area establishments should get to renew their liquor licenses.
Lions Daze
It's the weekend every Sussex resident looks forward to each summer: Lions Daze! The huge carnival is a weekend-long extravaganza beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday when the rides start running. You can view , including the various deals and specials the parade has to offer. Patch will even be there handing out gift cards, taking photos and playing games. Come say hello!
