Sussex Week Ahead: Flu Shot Clinic and Harvest Festival

This week, Sussex residents can take part in the flu shot clinic, the Harvest Festival and a Parks and Recreation meeting.

Parks and Recreation Meeting

The Parks and Recreation Board will be meeting on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the . The members of the board will be discussing the master plan, park upgrades at , and parks and a new policy to reserve athletic fields at parks. The meeting is open to the public, so residents are encouraged to come and voice their opinions.

Flu Shot Clinic

The Froedtert Community Memorial Hospital will be holding a flu shot clinic on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m at the . The flu shots aren’t free, but the village notes that Medicare (Part B), most Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicaid (T19) are accepted as payment with proof of coverage.

 

Public Hearing and Plan Commission

The Village of Sussex will be holding a public hearing on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at to hear any and all concerns residents would like to address. Immediately following the hearing, the Plan Commission will meet to discuss to the water tower and a plan of operations for Quad Graphics, among other things.

 

Harvest Fest

Students in the four-year-old kindergarten program at are celebrating fall during a Harvest Festival. The activities will begin at the at 9 a.m. for the morning kindergarteners and 1 p.m. for the afternoon. The young students will go on a hayride, navigate a maze, create a harvest vest, learn about animals and a pumpkin cookie.
