Sussex Week Ahead: County Fair & Sounds of Sussex Concert

From the Waukesha County Fair to the second Sounds of Sussex concert at Weyer Park, this is a list of places to be and things to do this week in Sussex.

Senior Advisory Committee Meeting

The Sussex Senior Citizen Advisory Committee is meeting on Monday at 4 p.m. at the to discuss various items of interest to area seniors. This meeting's agenda will cover entertainment for the Senior Volunteer Recognition event and give an update on Waukesha County's meal program numbers. The meeting is open to the public, so please attend if you would like to bring any issues to the committe's attention.

School Board Meeting

The Hamilton School Board will me meeting at the 's library at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, and everyone is welcomed to attend. The meeting is expected to be around 40 minutes long, and citizen comments are welcome at the beginning of the meeting. The agenda outlines various items of planned discussion, like the elementary writing curriculum.

Waukesha County Fair

We hope you're ready to fill up on more carnival food this week after splurging at because the Waukesah County Fair starts at 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Library Board Meeting

The will be meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the library, and everyone is welcome to attend. The library board members will take comments from citizens, and they'll discuss items on their agenda, like the financial reports. 

CDA and Plan Commission Meetings

The Community Development Authority and the Sussex Plan Commission will meet back-to-back on Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m. at the . You can find the meeting agendas on the village website, as the one for the CDA meeting has yet to be released. However, members on the Plan Commission will be talking about of Open Pantry in Sussex, among other items.

Sounds of Sussex

The second concert at is this Thursday starting at 6 p.m., but this time Andrea & the Mods Band will be performing. Residents can lay out blankets and sit on chairs in the park while enjoying burgers, brats, beers and live music. Andrea & the Mods is a cover band playing 60s, 70s and pop country music.
