Sussex Week Ahead: Charlie Brown and the Library's Facelift

This is a list of places to be and things to do this week in Sussex.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

On Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the , the five-time, Grammy-nominated musician, composer, arranger and pianist David Benoit and his quartet will play a show full of . Joined by the Templeton Middle School choir, Benoit is slated to perform the show of the season. Reserved seating tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors (55 years and older) and $10 for students (17 years and younger).

Christmas Cookie Madness

Take part in the madness! is hosting the teen program "" on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Teens will be armed with icing, sprinkles and candy. Plain cookies will be transformed bring your holiday spirit, creative vision, and of course, your sweet tooth. The library will also have a “white elephant” gift exchange. If you wish to participate in the gift exchange, bring a gently used, colorfully wrapped present to submit. Your trash could be someone else’s holiday treasure!

The will be closed from Wednesday through Friday to complete it's . The project stands for "Browsing Easier for Everyone," so library staff will be reorganizing a massive portion of the library into categories like "Home" or "Food." Programs like Christmas Cookie Madness will still be running, but the main part of the library will be closed. Check out what staff was working on when it reopens on Saturday for normal hours.
