State Fair Offers Some Holiday Shopping Ideas

Discounted tickets for admission and cream puffs available now for purchase as stocking stuffer.

The folks at Wisconsin State Fair Park announced they are providing special savings this holiday season for the 2012 fair, offering $5 admission tickets. The 2012 Fair will take place Thursday, August 2 through Sunday, August 12 at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

Beginning Nov. 18, the public can purchase $5 Fair Admission Tickets through 5pm on Dec. 19 online only at WiStateFair.com. Purchasers will have the option to order “print @home” tickets and have their gift immediately, or they can choose to have their tickets mailed. For orders placed for delivery by mail, a special holiday gift envelope will be included with the tickets. As an added gift for those opting to “print @ home,” all service fees will be waived, and for those opting for “mail order” tickets the fee will be just $2.

Patrice Harris, Communications Manager for the Fair, said, “The Fair continually strives to offer an outstanding family experience focused around value. We recognize that everyone continues to keep an eye on their expenditures in this economy, therefore we wanted to continue to offer a great holiday gift option at an exceptional price.”

In addition to the presale tickets, $15 Cream Puff six-pack gift certificates are available, which is a savings of up to $9 on individually purchased Cream Puffs at the Fair. Like the ticket offer, the cream puff certificates are only available through the “mail order” option at WiStateFair.com.

For Fair Fans that start counting the days until the next event, the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation is offering the opportunity to become a “Friend of the Fair” by purchasing a permanent brick to be installed in the Grand Champion Patio at the Fair Park. Bricks start at just $150 and include additional benefits, including tickets to the Wisconsin State Fair. Bricks offer the opportunity to commemorate a special occasion or person, and purchases benefit the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
