Winter appears determined to prove to us folks just who is boss in these parts.

Sussex snow plow drivers who worked long hours this past weekend to stay ahead of the freezing rain, sleet and snow Sunday into Monday may get another call to action just one week hence.

A storm "is expected to pass from central Illinois into lower Michigan Sunday night," service said, and "this system has the potential for bringing moderate accumulations of freezing rain, sleet and snow to southern Wisconsin."

If the storm takes the right path, Mother Nature could even throw in a little plain old liquid rain, the weather service reports, which would  make the mess even heavier and more difficult to clear.
