Lisbon Man Appointed to Arthritis Foundation's Leadership Board

The Arthritis Foundation Upper Midwest Region has appointed Town of Lisbon resident Dan Wenger to its Milwaukee Leadership Board.

Wenger is the Director of Strategic Marketing for Hospira Worldwide, based out of Lake Forest, IL.  He is a 20-year marketing professional and is interested in helping guide the foundation’s message, increase funding for both treatment and cure of arthritis, and helping build awareness.

Wenger’s 10-year-old daughter, Emma has juvenile arthritis. Immediately after her diagnosis, Wenger and his wife, Angie sought information and support from the Arthritis Foundation. Since 2010, the Wenger family has been actively involved with the Arthritis Foundation by attending local events, the National Juvenile Arthritis Conference, and sending Emma to Camp M.A.S.H. (Make Arthritis Stop Hurting).

This has allowed Emma to tell her story and offer support for the entire family.  In his new leadership role with the Arthritis Foundation, Wenger offers the perspective of a parent guiding a child through the many challenges of living with arthritis.
