During my growth as an artist, art has become a way for me to express my innermost thoughts; my mind is full of ideas, stories, and worlds just waiting to be depicted, and there is something about them that is far easier to express through images than through words.

This year, my concentration is a graphic novel revolving around a girl and her journey. My comic follows the story of a young girl as she runs away, only to become lost in a big city. The world she lives in is not quite like ours; mythological beings live alongside normal humanoids, and every creature shares the same pure color eyes. With help from a Guardian scarf kitty, she journeys through both the extraordinary and the terrifying aspects of the city. By the end of her adventure, the young girl learns that cities, whether ordinary or fantasy, are not so scary after all.
