The Village of Sussex has some great Easter events and activities coming up. Here are the some that are listed on their website:
Easter Basket Hunt
March 5-19
Use your detective skills and become a sleuth to find the laminated picture of an Easter basket that will be hidden in Sussex.
Clues will be posted on Facebook, Twitter and the Village web site. The Recreation Department will not repeat past clues to those individuals who have missed a day. Find the basket and receive a real Easter basket filled with goodies.
New clues posted every Tuesday and Thursday at 4:00pm until the basket is found.
Bunny Lunch
Saturday, March 23
11am - 12:30pm
Sussex National Guard Armory
Register by March 15
Fee: $5
Hop on over to eat a "kid friendly" lunch, play springtime themed games and have your picture taken with Mr. E Bunny. Games are geared towards children ages 8 and under.Two game tickets are included with the $5 Bunny Lunch fee.
It is important to register early. The registration deadline of March 15 is the last possible date to register. Over the phone registrations or holds are not accepted.
Easter Eggs-travaganza
Saturday, March 23
1pm - 3pm
Armory Park
Free Event. No pre-registration necessary.
The Easter Eggstravaganza is an annual special event sponsored by the Village of Sussex, Town of Lisbon, area businesses, organizations and groups. We come together to offer candy and treats to our little visitors. There is a limited amount of purchased and donated gifts/treats available for distribution for this activity.
This event is held outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
