McDonald's Remodel Given Green Light by Plan Commission

Restaurant on Highway 16 will see update of exterior during summer months.

The Sussex Plan Commission Thursday gave final approval to allow restaurant, W249N6522, Highway 164, to remodel.

The new look will have red brick, cream color cultured stone and aluminum accent panels around the window play area. The gateway canopies above the drive through lanes will also be replaced with a white metal exterior, but will remain at their current height.

Some tile work will be done within the restaurant, but the vast majority of the remodel will be exterior.

With the approval, remodeling efforts for the restaurant will begin in May and be completed by the end of summer.

The approval was given by the commission with no debate. A public hearing was also heard prior to the meeting, however, no one spoke against the plan.
