Hometown Pharmacy Plans Aug. 1 Opening in Sussex

The Wisconsin-based pharmacy has over 30 branches throughout the state, and offers competitive prices on its medicines.

Sussex will soon be home to a Wisconsin-based pharmacy along Main Street.

Hometown Pharmacy, which has over 30 locations throughout the state, plans to open Aug. 1 at N65W24838 Main St. in Sussex near the Pick'n Save grocery store. The Sussex branch of Hometown Pharmacy will partner with Froedtert Hospital, and 95 percent of the sales are health care related.

"We offer an extremely large array of prescription medicines and over-the-counter medicines with a small amount of gifts, cards and front-end merchandise," stated Hometown managing member Dan Strause in a memo with the village. "Our prices are the same or lower than the chains over 99 percent of the time."

Hometown Pharmacy accepts all insurance plans and offers prescription transfers. New clients simply need to gather their current medications, then call or visit the Sussex location and a pharmacist will take care of the transfer. Home delivery is also available.

The pharmacy store hours wil bee from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday,  and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. When it opens, Hometown Pharmacy can be reached at (262) 820-0200.

"We are leaders in the medical therapy management field and have received multiple awards from the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin for our achievements," Strause said. "We look forward to the opportunity to serve Sussex and become part of your hometown."
