Tuesday is National Pancake Day and to celebrate, the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is offering every person in America a free short stack of its signature buttermilk pancakes for free, from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The popular breakfast restaurant has celebrated National Pancake Day since 2006 and in the past seven years has raised nearly $10 million to support charities in the communities in which it operates.
The pancakes are technically free, however IHOP goers are asked to consider leaving a donation for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other designated local charities, IHOP's website says.
Last year, its National Pancake Day efforts raised more $3 million for the hospital system.
There are a number of IHOPS in the Milwaukee area. Click here for a list of area IHOPS.

Mr. Russian: Too many of those people Mrs. Russian (still adjusting to America): Those people go to IHOP? Mr. Russian: Yes, IHOP is like Denny's. Not only are there too many of those people as customers, but they have those people cooking and serving the food. Mrs. Russian: Like Denny's? Oh no! We're not going to IHOP.
