New 24-hour exercise facility targets customers with on-the-go lifestyles.

Let’s say you want to get into a regular exercise routine, but your work schedule is anything but regular. The new Anytime Fitness center in Sussex may be the answer to your dilemma.

Anytime Fitness, which has more than 100 exercise clubs across Wisconsin, has opened its doors at N64 W24350 Main St.  The company bills itself as the world’s largest 24-hour gym and co-ed fitness center chain.

“We’re predicated on convenience and exceptional customer service,” said general manager Jenny Stein.  “We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  You can get your workout in at any time of the day.  If you want to come in and work out at 2 o’clock in the morning, you can.”

“I really like the treadmills and the elliptical cross-trainers,” said Julie Potenberg of Hartland, while Michael Hayden of Sussex said he enjoys “everything, and I like to focus on a full body workout.”

Stein, a Sussex native, said she is excited to see Anytime Fitness come to the village.

“It’s awesome and the community has definitely accepted us very well,” Stein said. “I’ve lived here for 23 years and I’ve really seen it grow from not being very populated to more than 12,000 residents. Even in this economy, we’re anticipating 500 to 600 new memberships in the first year.”

To work with a personal trainer, sessions can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Sundays by appointment.
