Hollywood elites giving themselves more awards put on TV for the low informed.

Really Steve, the "low informed"? How about before you click on an article where you clearly don't care about the subject matter, only so you can put in some snide remark where you denigrate those that enjoy some rather harmless piece of fluffy entertainment, you make sure you don't make yourself sound stupid by getting a common phrase completely wrong? And FYI, I have a Masters degree in Tax, I work hard, I watch the news and formulate my opinions based on facts, I read, I converse constructively on many different topics, and yet, I enjoy watching the Oscars, because I love movies and this is about movies. Do I fit your definition of "low informed", Mr. "I have Wisconsin with an American flag so I'm somehow smarter and more patriotic than everyone else"?

Being 'low informed' is different than being 'low educated'.

Thank you Mike! I totally agree. I am in management at a major area bank and I too am looking forward to the oscars. I think it's great that there is a Wauwatosa tie and am hoping 'Beasts' wins an award. The tiny budget film is competing against others with huge budgets and major actors. You don't have to be in the movie business to enjoy watching these awards. I don't consider myself low informed OR low educated.
